I have went to the web link you have listed twice, and I do not see anything you are calling a redhead. You have three pages listed with photos, no redheads there that I can see. rw


Goldeneye

Hi David,

The picture I looked at this morning was definatley a Goldeneye hen or immature drake.. Not a redhead.

The head you have in the bird is a Redhead. The duck is a hen Goldeneye. The only ducks I know that have that gray pattern on the body are Goldeneys and some hen Mergansers. Do you still have the original head? If you do, compare the two.

Looked it up and appears to be a Lesser Scaup hen (Bluebill).

looks like a goldeneye to me.

for those who couldnt get to it. you have to click on the "wildlife art" section of the three he has listed.
