I belive the emperor goose is a South American species. I mounted a few for some friends that brought them back from Argentina. Beautiful irridescence on the entire center portion of the wing There were no licenses, seasons or bag limits, and sounded from them like they were considered vermin down there. That was about 10 years ago, but I doubt much has changed.

Are an arctic speices of Sea Goose...More at home in the ocean than on the land.. There has been talk about putting them on the endangered speices list, however as of yet.. they are not as numbers have increased significantly over the past 10 years.

The bird winters in the Aluetians and breeds in north eastern Siberia and northern Alaska.
