Shot Holes

Do you all try to sew up every little shot hole, or do you just close the larger holes/tears?

What are you mounting

It depends on what your mounting and how big the whole is. Usually they are all fixed. I don't sew up holes the size of tannery punches. If you're talking about holes that small.

Unless you are using caulk in your birds. Caulk can make a mess in even the tiniest holes on a bird.

Usually not

It depends on where it is on the bird, but generally I don't so anything smaller that the circumference of my finger.

Sew all holes.

I have heard people not sewing the holes, just face the fact part of doing work better than your taxidermist down the road is fixing the holes.

I consider anything smaller than a dime a drying hole.
