The item will probably be canceled by ebay. You can post ANYTHING for sale on ebay, but they do have rules and if you violate them, they will cancel the item and give you a verbal spanking.
Selling birds of prey is against the rules and someone will email ebay before the end of the auction and let them know of the posting. However, I have had bad experiences with ebay in the past when it came to this very issue, but it was the selling of crow mounts and not birds of prey. Several years ago, I was noticing many people selling mounted crows for sale (and getting very high prices). When I emailed ebay to bring this to their attention (that it was illegal) they sent me several letters telling me that was wrong. I ended up calling the Field Office in Portland Oregon and turning them in (EBAY). All of the crow mounts that were for sale on ebay were cancelled the next day-haven't seen one on there since either.

There have been crows recently--within the last month--for sale on eBay. I sent eBay a note about the legality, but didn't hear anything back. I also warned the sellers about it being illegal to sell them.
My son tried to sell bleached bear skulls on ebay. They were pulled them and said it was illegal to sell them. Even though there were other ones listed. We emailed them back and also called them to tell them they were wrong. No response. They took his money to list them though.
EBAY being based in California cannot allow bear or cougar to be sold on thier site so I am told.
