When skinning a peacock should you seperate the tail from the train or take them off as one piece.

Also, any tips on keeping the train feathers from falling when mounting a peacock strutting would be helpful.

Thanks.

I take the tail and tail coverts off at the same time. Strutting Peacocks are tough because they always want to sag way after they are mounted. Bondo the tail and what you call the train in the position you want. with wires bondoed in. than attach with bondo to the body.

One step back

I am mounting a peacock for the first time. I seperated the tail from the body. What should I maybe be looking out for? Can I inject the tail, to keep it in one piece, or do I have to seperate all of the feather butts? Any info would be appreciated.
