Anybody know if you can legally ship a Ringneck Pheasant mount to Russia? Post office was not much help when I asked them today. Thanks,

Billy Bob.

why you couldn't But you need to answer all the custom related issues first. Have the recipient see what his country needs as far as customs in russia is involved.

USFW should be able to answer customs related question on exporting. I know there are a few rules you will need to follow to get it across. but am not versed on them.

Check With Your State Too!

This might sound very funny, because we commonly ship stuff to customers all the time. A few years ago I was shipping a mounted grouse to a customer in England. I found that my state required a permit to ship the bird out of the state to a foreign country, shipping to another state didn't require it! It was some part of an antiquated law, but it was on the books.
