I AM HAVING TROUBLE WITH MAKING MY FEATHERS ON MY BIRDS LOOK UNIFORM, & FLUENT. IT SEEMS LIKE THE MORE I TRY TO MAKE THEM LOOK RIGHT, THE WORSE THEY LOOK. ANY SUGGESTIONS?

My first suggestion is to stop typing in CAPS!
There could be many possible reasons for the feathers not looking uniform, or laying down right. You may have immature specimins that you are working with? There may be problems with your washing/drying/degreasing process. Problems with how/what your tumbling with? The list goes on and on.............

the feathers aren't laying right is that your mannekin may be too big, It should be no bigger, I prefer a little smaller actually, than the carcus..take measurements next time. If all is done correctly, they should lay nicely with no problems..
