Can I attach an artificial turkey head to an excelsior wrapped body and neck? I am mounting a turkey in a strutting/gobbling pose. Thanks, Eric

I am not sure why you would want to take the time and labor to wrap a turkey though. That is a pretty big project. It would be worth your while to just buy a turkey body. Unless you just want to say you can do it. Anyhow you can use an artificial head.

Of course you can

Being in this business for over 50 years I have a lot of experience wrapping bodies with excelsior and I still do a lot of them.I just gave a seminar on wrapping bodies at the Conn. Tax. Assoc. show last weekend with great interest shown by all who attended. As for your question just make sure that the neck is the correct length and thickness and is wound very tight.Go over the wraps with Elmer's Glue and let it dry this will give the Bondo you probably will use to bond the neck, something to grab. This should work just fine.Any other problems? Just email me. Good luck, JL

Didnt see the repro head part sorry. Just grind out the neck portion of the repro to accept the wrapped neck and follow the above answer.
