MODEL IN NEED OF LARGE BIRD WINGS/INFORMATION!

Submitted by Angelica on 6/16/04 at 12:35 AM. ( model_angelica@yahoo.com ) 68.212.59.184

This may sound like a strange request, but I've been searching for a pair of large bird wings for some time now. If anybody has any to offer, I am VERY interested!

I don't need any other bird parts; the body is of no use to me. I just need entire wings so that I can mount them and use them as angel-type wings in an upcoming shoot....the bigger, the better!

White wings are preferred, and black wings will also do nicely. Brown wings, if large enough, can still work. I don't know very much about bird types and wingspans, but that's where you guys come in. ;) Any help will be greatly appreciated. Full prop credits will go to you if you desire.

Also, if anyone just has tips about what I could possibly get and where (and what types of birds I have no hope in getting), I would really appreciate it.

Please e-mail me at model_angelica@yahoo.com with any information. Thanks!

Look for breeders who raise Whooper or Trumpeter Swans.

You're probalby looking at between $500 and $2500 to acquire the bird.

Swan wings would be the largest white wings I can think of that could be legally obtained.

Good Luck.

Your best bet is to have someone manufacture replica wings out of something like turkey feathers. A lot of the big birds are federally
protected and owning so much as a single feather is a no-no. Things like domestically raised fowl are legal tho and in talented hands can
be worked into the wings you are after =) Just be sure of the the source of your feathers as often the people selling them aren't aware of the laws.
