Oops! Paint on feathers..help

I've done it now! I just finished a domestic all white call duck for a friend, and somehow I managed to get some paint of the feathers while painting the legs...I did mask off the area but apparently not well enough...I used acetone to remove most of it so its not terrible, just a small spot now and fortunately it's in between the 2 legs, so you have to pick the mount up and turn it over to see it but it's still bothering me...
Does anyone have any other suggestions for removing it?
I was thinking about misting it with some white paint to cover it..anyone ever try this or am I just going to make it worse?
Thanks for any suggestions

Use lacquer thinner

The acetone may have "set" the color, but hopefully the lacquer thinner will pull it out. With GOOD ventilation, soak a clean hand towel in lacquer thinner and wash the area with vigor. DON'T TOUCH THE OTHER PAINT. Then with shop air, blow the thinner away in the direction of the feathers.

Easy Fix

Being a white call duck, it probably has more feathers than it knows what to do with anyways....

The stain is probably only effecting the outermost layer of feathers.

PLUCK EM.

You'll never know the difference...

Of course if the spot is huge or well saturated, then try the lacquer thinner, but if we're only talking a few to a couple dozen feathers.. just Pluck em.

Good Luck,
Jon

Thanks guys!

I think I'll start with the lacquer thinner and if that don't work, I'll start plucking lol :)
Thanks again
