Peacocks are primarily Blue India, but have been bred to be emerald green and even all white in some cases. They can pick up diseases from other birds such as chickens so are better off having lots of room when with other birds. They are like roosters and are very territorial and the males will fight with other males. The males grow their "tail" feathers which are really off their back every year. They loose them before our fall and grow them again before mating season usually a little longer each year until they are fully mature. They can be kept in a large pen or allowed to roam like chickens and feed on turkey feed.
