AL, If your bill is dark green you can get it right by misting over the green with yellow ocre.

White it out and start over!

I would white it out with Ivory White, then yellow ocre, shade with Dark brown, followed light mist of candy medium green! Mallard bills vary so much, you really can't go wrong! Good Luck!

thing about painting bills is that they can be repaired. A common mistake is too much paint. My recommendation is to remove the old paint and start again. Most can easily be removed with acetone and a paper towel. There a many different paint schedules available, and a lot depends on the area the bird was collected. My choice is a medium coat of yellow ochre followed by a light mist of mallard green, followed by a very light mist of black. If I botch it up I remove it and start again. You did not mention the painting method - I only use air brushes. Good Luck
