what is the best size eyes to use on drake wood ducks? been using 10mm but am having trouble getting a full ring around the eye to paint, would going to 11mm eyes solve this problem, or is there something else?appreciate any and all advice..thanks rick

I generally use 11mm, but I sometimes use 10mm. The thing to remember is that the whole eye is not exposed. You should only have about 9mm of eye exposed, maybe less, depending on the expression you are trying to achieve.
that you take out.. and replace it with the same. Ive found that most wood ducks around here carry a 9mm eye vs 10. Are you removing the original eye ring? I usually do... I don't know if it makes any difference or not as they shrink up to a mere thread anyways, but its just something I've gotten into the habit of.
I also usually sculpt the eyelid on the eye before I set them in the skull makes it easier to paint as well.
