Hello all
Wondering what size gauge wire is recommended for the wing support of a flying turkey mount..? Also, can I use a smaller gauge on the legs then with this pose?..I've been using 9 on the standing mounts.. That seems a bit heavy for a flying position...
Many thanks

Only because I can't bend the #6 back into the form. Use the absolute heaviest wire you can for a flying turkey. Then secure it to the plaque with 3/8 inch rod.
I use a vise grip and a section of small diam pipe ,slip the pipe over the rod and bend as needed..with the pipe being longer than the end of the rod you get better leverage and the vice grip will give ya plenty of angle conrol.I got this from changeing spring's on my trap's.. As for wings 10 or 12 cuts the cake once they are set.but then again I remove mine from skin and set seperatly...Prolly wrong but it works..
Thanks for the help.. :)
