Hummingbirds are federally protected and you should put it back in the yard where you found it. You cant keep it or any parts from it!

Nikki, are you in the united states?

you need to get rid of that bird if you are in the US. If you in a country where its legal to have a humingbird let us know and we may try to help but remember that most of us have never done one.

INJECT IT

Look forget the others, if you want to mount it then do it. Cut a slit below the belly a insert a brain hook and pull the entrials out. Then do the same to, the eyes and brain. Then inject it with denatured alcohol and borax. If you keep it yourself and the man does not come to your house you are o.k. To all the others the fellow just asked how to do it not if it were legal. I have several owls, a couple of hawks and a buzzard, not to count the song birds. Hope this helps,, RJR

RJR I hope your kidding....

Or you dont reside in the US, because if you do you may not want to brag about it. Dont you think the feds watch this site? They can track you through this or any other site that you post on. Please dont encourage someone to do this. Jail time and fines are very real no matter if you rob a gas station or have protected birds in your possession without a permit. For your sake I sincerely hope you are not a licensed taxi because if you are eventually the "MAN" will come to your house, and your going to jail.

Good Luck!
