I'm native american and I have a hawk head that i'm wanting to cure allI want to do is to dry it out and make sure the feathers don't fall out i've dried out wings and tails before and they are pretty easy for the porposes i use the parts for isn't anything special they useually will be use to make dance staffs and bustles any help will be mush appreciated.

Skin to the bill take the eyes out and meat off the skull,. Than take the brains out. rub Borax on the skin and re-invert the skin. Should last a long time.
some one told me that i could salt it and have it freeze dried will that work
