Pheasant in the fridge.

I wired a pheasant and didn't have time to put it on the form last night. Its all boraxed , I put it in the fridge. Is that ok to do ? Whats the longest I can leave it there until i mount ?

That borax is probably sucking the moisture right out of that skin as we speak. You shoud've put moist paper towels on the skin and then when you are ready to mount it put the borax on.

put some damp papper towles in the body cavity fold it up and freeze it .

if it dries out no biggie just mist it with spray bottle and put it in a bag for a little while it will rehydrate fine..Part of the reason I do all my work damp/wet then blow dry on the form...
