If your serious about reference then try the complete waterfowl reference set by Bruce Burke along with LeMasters book, Gallery of Ducks. The one problem with the waterfowl Illustrated book is that many of the pics are of mounted birds which I don't consider good reference. Don't get me wrong, I've got it in my colection but feel it is limited. Breakthrough has a good selection of reference books in the back of each issue. Be prepared to spend some money but you,ll find that the more you use reference pics the more you will need them. My best, Woodie

"Waterfowl, Ducks, Geese, and Swans of the World" by Frank Todd.

It is out of print, and it may be pricey, but it's excellent. Try half.com or one of the similar sites.
