I am planning on mounting a Turkey Hen to go with a gobbler I mounted. My question is, can I use the original hen from the turkey and mount it similar to another bird or do I have to get the head freeze dried or get an artificial turkey head? If I have to get an artificial head does anyone know a supplier that handles them? Thanks in advance. Jim

I recommend getting the head freeze dried or purchasing an artificial. You can do skin mount on the head. The trouble is that you will have a lot of shrinkage that will need to be rebuilt. I have a video for sale that shows how to mount a strutting tom with the skin mounted head method. It also shows how to rebuild the shrinkage. This could be applied to a hen. If you're interested, its listed in the FOR SALE category.
