is a crow a good beginners bird?

Ross, crows have very thin skin, and tear very easy. I would try something more like a pheasant. Alot easier to mount for a first bird.

My 11 year old mounted one for her first bird. She took it to the NTA show in huntsville and took a first place and the Horizon award for the best childs entry.
