Does anyone know how to preserve a real wood duck tongue or where I could purchase a wood duck tongue?

I remember seeing once info on making one. Something about putting putty in the mouth then closing it. The tongue fills the oral cavity when relaxed and all tucked in. Add some texture with a brush (just stipple it a little bit) then add some of those cool little serrations down the side and there ya have it. Paint and yer done! If you can't find a ready made real one that is. Check Tony Finazzos site. If he has an open mouth woddy - it will likely show the tongue. You could just grind that out and pop it into your mount.. or just use the entire repro head...
