Clumped, dried turkey feathers

I'm doing a couple of Turkey capes. I washed the capes in dawn and luke warm water, then boraxed the skin side. I let them dry for 3 weeks and my problem is, I didn't put any forethought in to the fact that the feathers were drying also. Now I have dried feathers all in clump. (still attached well) What is the best way to get the feathers back to a presentable appearance? Thanks!

Are you just hanging these capes on the wall? If you rinsed them well after washing, try blowing the feathers w/ compressor to fluff.
If that don't work re-wet the feather and blow dry.

Should have tumbled the capes, or used the compressor while wet.

you should not have let the bird dry out. Wash, Dont use borax on ,turkeys, use corn cob grit to tumble in. blow dry, then freeze.
