I have a Snowy White Owl that I would like to have remounted. I am looking for someone that can custom make a mount that would include an inlaid insignia of the fraternity which owns the owl. Not looking for a natural habitat type base. Any suggestions on companies that is in this line of business?

I am not a bird expert so I am not 100% sure but you have a protected bird in your posetion! This could turn into a huge problem for you. How did you get this Owl?
Just make sure that you acquired this Owl legally. Owls are protected as are all raptors and you may run into some problems if you did not acquire your specimen legally. What do you mean by "remount"? Is the bird already mounted? If so, just have a plaque made that has the fraternities name enscribed in it and put it with the bird. All taxidermy work is " custom made " as all work is the product of the hard work put in by the taxidermist. What do you mean by "custom made"?
Until last year Alaska residents could still shoot and have snowy owls mounted. We can still shoot them to eat them. There was a loop in the law for the taxidermy part. I have a few buddies that have a few stashed away in the freezer, and they are totaly legal.

Our family heirloom is this Snowy White Owl under a glass dome that was mounted about 85+ years ago by my Great Uncle. We are trying to find out what this would be worth for insurance purposes. We are not interested in selling since it's been in our family for a very long time.
