I would like to preserve the wings of some pheasants my husband brought home; as well as preserve other feathers from the birds. (I tried once to dry turkey wings and of course found magets, yuck. Would someone be so kind as to list the instructions. Thank you.

make cuts on the under side of the wings along the bones, remove all of the meat or you will have magets, then degrease in Dawn dish soap, rinse in water, soak the wing in Coalman fuel to remove water(outdoors) blow dry, add Borax to all areas along the bones, sew shut and let dry.
