Howdy folks,
I was cleaning the shop the other day and pulled away the shelves from the wall and found an old cast duck head. My problem is... I DONT KNOW WHAT IT GOES TO. I'm pretty sure it's a ferbee, but its so old the catalog numbers no longer match. It says WFTD on the bottom... I think it may be a diver hen of some sort probably one of the pochards, but for the life of me I don't recognize the shape. If anyone has an old catalog and can reference that catalog number I'd really appreciate it!
Thanks
Jon

a White Faced Tree Duck (WFTD)? It's bill resembles a pochard type look, and back then the name hadn't been changed to whistling duck.
Hope it helps.
after researching a few reference pics. that is a possiblity... I just have no clue as to why i would have mounted/ordered one. I don't think I have ever done a tree duck... at least not that I can remember..

Its a W---T--F--- duck...........
he used wf as waterfowl then type of waterfowl then drake or hen best I remeber
But it's by far way to big to be any of the native teal. I suspect it may be the White Faces tree duck.
Oh well guess I'll never know
