Freezing birds

After you freeze a bird, guts, meat, and all, what do you do to prepare it for skinning? What I mean is, how do you "unfreeze" it?

Thanks for any info

Unthaw it?

This is one of those mystical questions like "which came first, the chicken or the egg?" If you put it IN the freezer to freeze it, doesn't it stand to reason that taking it OUT will UNFREEZE it? When it's thawed sufficiently, you can skin it out easily.

Uhh....

I find that the best way is to take the bird out of the freezer the night before and put it in the crock pot on low temp over night . but for those comercial guys just put in microwave and defrost for 6 1/2 minutes prior to skinning!#~~?
