I am mounting a standing wood duck, how heavy should the wire be in the legs? thanks for any help

the last duck I did I used 19 guage and it wasn't strong enough, so I figured something a lot heavier.

Here's something to keep in mind when wiring birds... Ask yourself what is the largest wire you can get by with. The larger the wire you use, the sturdier the mount. I normally use 12ga in my woodie legs. 14ga is definitely the minimum.
