I can't stand it anymore. Archive and general internet searches tell me the eye color is dark, dark brown, black, and medium blue. Some books even claim the color to be straw. The barred lying here on the table to be mounted for a nature center is dead and cannot tell me. Is there a wise one out there who can tell me the truth? Thank you forever for the answer.

I use dioxene purple and burnt umber to mix a deep color that matches. There is a deep brown iris, but it is almost not discernable. Tony Finazzo used to have a source for deep purple bubble eyes that worked. I just built an animatronic barred owl, and used live bird for reference. Dark, dark brown with a purplish cast....Brown irish only distinguishable with flashlight. We make our own eyes here.
It has a very dark eye . Rick
