wood duck eyes

i am a beginner and have a nice pair of wood ducks, a hen and a drake, where can i get some realistic wood duck eyes, thanks

You can get eyes from any supplier. It these are your first birds, I would use 112 style eyes. If you want the best, use the 123 or 124 Style from Tohickon.


Eye rings

Wood ducks are one of the birds that have materially pronounced and colored eye rings. While the correct eye style and color is critical so are the eye rings. You can buy them premade or make them your self, but do not forget to put them on. Good Luck


Flex eyes

Look up in McKensie magazine for Flex eyes. Very easy comes with colored eye ring and believe they carry both hen and drake.

That Flex eyes look like crap though..if you want nice eye rings..make your own..I'm sure the archives are full of different suggestions to go about it but I use a 2 part epoxy with a bit of red dry paint added for coloring..
