freezing a bird

Hey you guys I have a question. I am doing my first bird and i treated my bird in some liquid cure. Basicaly its ready to mount but can i freeze this and wait for another day? If i can will defrost ready to mount. Please share your knowledge. Thanks Leo

I do it all the time. I have never used the liquid cure but should be ok. I even put my birds in the freezer if I havent finished mounting them while on the body. thaw out later and finish the bird. This works fine for me.

Also not sure about the liquid cure but often times I will skin a bird, carve the form to correct proportions, label them both and freeze the skin WET until I am ready to mount. They thay out faster that way. Still be cautious how long you leave a skin, even wet they will get freezer burn in time.
