sewing turkey

could someone tell me what is a good thread for sewing turkey up. All I see in supply cataloges is cape thread, so is the biggame cape acceptable for sewing birds. Thanks.

I use Fire Line on all my sew jobs any more but the thread they sell is fine. You don't need to use the heavy waxed cape threads they sell.

You can use a hand stapler. Quick, easy will hold just as well as string and a lot quicker.

I use upholstery sewing thread on all my birds. You can get it at any sewing supply store. A spool of white, black, med. gray, and a couple of shades of brown should meet all your needs.
