liquid preservative for bird wings

I have always removed the muscle tissue in the radius-ulna area of a bird wing. But a long time taxidermist said that he simply thoroughly injects this area with a liquid preservative and mounts as usual. Saves time, leaves a cleaner appearance, but has anyone else used this technique. Understand that this is only for birds up to pheasant and mallard duck size, anything larger can give problems.

If you inject tissue it is still tissue. This can attract bugs and it will stink for a while no matter how you inject it. I tried it in the beginning and then learned how to skin a bird correctly. I would clean the wing on a sparrow even if I had one to do! Remember
1 Paws to the claws
2 Wings to the wrist
3 fish to the nostrils

Good luck
