Mineral Spirits or Paint Thinner (Low Odor Mineral Spirits)

Submitted by Doug on 2/24/05 at 6:28 PM. ( ) 67.1.100.29

I sent my wife to Menards here a month back to pick me up some Mineral Spirit and she brought me back 8 jugs of Paint Thinner (low odor mineral spirits). I've been using this and it seems to do the trick. However when I asked someone the difference between the two. They said the paint thinner is watered down. Whats your folks opinions? The paint thinner is basically 1/2 the price of the other. Perhaps this isn't the place to cut spending costs?

Just depends on if you want to deal with the order.

I use mineral spirits when I find it cheaper than a gallon of gasoline.

Other wise I use the cheap stuff from the station.

Washing BIrds, more questions

What is the best procedure for skinning and washing birds? I am a newbie but have a beautiful bird that's wings and tail are fine- would like to know how to preserve as much of it as I can. Any ideas would be welcomed.

My spouse is not going to let a dead bird be in the freezer-much less one with feathers on it-and I have it temporarily stored outside. Its cold here but I don't want anything to get to it.

Thanks
