You said in one of your post a couple weeks ago that you were a FF? Where at? Been working in North Eastern OR as a FF/P for 7yrs and 3yrs in Portland,OR before that. Ive recently started a parttime bird taxidermy buisness on my days off also, want to get into fish once im feeling confident with birds.

I am a part-time firefighter, EMT-I for Midvale city here in Utah. I was a volunteer FF for a small town for a couple years while I was doing certifications and then got the part-time gig. Basically I work there 200 hours a month but no benefits. I also go to school three mornings a week toward my paramedic. Been doing bird taxidermy for over 15 years. I keep a smallish aviary at the parents house and do taxidermy here in my basement...much to my wife's dismay. Someday I dream of owning an honest to goodness studio where I can display the really good stuff and work away from the kids. Would like to branch out into fish or painting on canvas, maybe bronzes someday. All in due time I suppose and right now my goals are to get a full-time spot at a fire-dept and win some of the major awards at our state taxidermy show in May. Had a great 4 day hunt on the Idaho side of the Snake river on the Oregon border afew months back. Most unbelievable chukar hunting ever and huns were common.Feel free to e-mail, I check it when I am not at the station.-John
Keep at the paramedic cert its a great way to get hired on in the fire service. I did private ambulance for 3 years in Portland and also spent almost 1 year in Albuquerque NM for the ambulance doing a internship and staying on for a little while. Now I work here in Pendleton OR for the last 7 years and will most likly retire here. Ive been doing birds for 2 years but ive got alot to learn. Im getting better i just finished my second Mallard and its my best waterfowl to date, the guys gonna be happy.
recenently hired some"taxidermist" to roof my house.they are very talented and work for CHEAP George was my forman and i got a good job ...............used Krowtan!
Roofed for a couple summers right after high school. We didn't have krowtan back in the day or maybe that job wouldn't have been so horrible. I'll bet George was a fun foreman...
we had a moose stuck in the attic and guess who had a solution get it out...................her's your sign
thought the igloo would support it. If you ever wake up with moose nuts in your face just roll over and go back to sleep.
