I was wondering if anyone has used the mallard or pheasant mounting kits from Van Dykes. Are they a good kit for a beginner?

I used the regular $15 kit for one of my pheasants.It turned out better than I expected for my first try. The one with the cheap kit turned out better than the second one, where i used the $40 kit.The videos in the Danny Owens kit are very helpful. Ive never mounted a mallard.
I ordered the pheasant kit, it was ok for a beginner, but do not use the wire, it is large enough to hold up an ostrich. Get some 14 gauge to use with it, for both wings and legs.
