Any info on a breeder who specializes in King Eiders will be greatly appreciated. I am looking for a King Eider pair with relevant paper work. Thanks in advance.

"Game Bird Breeders Gazette"
in my last issue I think there were three breeders selling them.
However, if you want colored out drakes, they need to be at least 3 if not 4 years old, for a prime specimen.
2 yr old pairs were selling for $2500 to $4000. The price only goes up with age.

PS.. if you plan to mount the birds, I wouldn't dare tell the breeders. They don't just sell to anyone when it comes to Kings. To know that you're just going to kill it probalby isnt going to go over well in your favor.
but I think you should be honest about it if this is what your planning to do..I have been in contact with several locals breeders, I tell them on the phone, on the first contact, that I am a taxidermist, most are ok with it..some are not..I also raise birds, some are for taxidermy and others are definetly "keepers" I have a pair of call ducks of all things and some really fat, and especially friendly chickens that I would be really upset to think that if I sold them, someone might put them down..Some just become "pets" and for me, when they cross that line..they're "keepers"
Be honest about it..
