does anyone use ferrebee eye rings on woodies? if so, when do you install them? befroe mounting or after when eyelids are dry and then put over the top? never used them, just wondering how you all do it.

make your own eye rings with sculp all. use reference and go from there.
Making your own oftentimes tends to end up like "rolling your own". You have more stuff on you than in the paper. If you're using artificial heads, install them with Apoxie and blend the transition out on them allowing just enough clearance underneath the ring to tuck your eyeskin. MY OPINION, I'd rather use the flex eyes and if I want a glass eye, I simply hollow out the back of the eyering cup to accept a glass eye. One of the very BEST woodduck heads made came from Positive Reproductions in Eagle Lake Alaska. I THINK they were bought by Research, but I don't know if that line is available.
