How much corncob media is needed foe a 30 gal.tumbler?
I think the drum should be about 1/2 full approx how many lbs?
also how long will this last before it becomes too damp or fouled

Rich i have heard alot of different opinions on this subject. Some say fill half full, some say no more than a 5 gallon bucket full. Right now mine is half full. I would also say that how long the media lasts depends on how much and how often you tumble. Are you working 10 hours/5 days a week or just 2 days a week part time. After tumbling, i leave my door open so that some fresh air can get in and dry things out a bit. I have been using the same media for 3 yrs now. I would think for a 30 gallon drum use between 5 and 10 gallons media. Pounds.......im not sure but think it is all sold in 20 to 25 lb increments. Hope this helps.
About 15 pounds should put you about half way. I have a 20 gallon and it is almost half way with 10 pounds. They do sell this in as small as 10 pound bags.
