gobbler panel mounts

What do you guys put on the back of your turkey mounts where the whole bird is laid out flat to go on a wall. I have seen people put boards on but they look kind of clumsy. I am just wondering if you could put a panel on the back small enough that the turkey would cover it up. How do you hold the wings and things in place? I realize they will stay quite well once they are dry. Is that all you count on?

1/4 plywood

I have never done one of these, but i would use a sheet of 1/4 plywood cut just a little bit small so the feathers would cover the edges, then just glue skin to the panel.
