the snow goose im working on, feet dried and i dont know if i can get them soften up, what should i do, the only way i know to mount a bird is with its real feet but i see you can buy feet to use but i dont know how to attach them to the bird any help would be great

Hydrate them.....Either stand them in or remove them and drop them in a can of water with a little preservesit mixed in......
generally you can rehydrate dried feet by injecting them with warm soapy water. Take a syringe and needle (I use a 20 gauge needle) start at the toe and slowly inject a solution of warm water and soap. Move up each the toe as you need to. This should do the trick. Soaking them in water can work, but sometimes is not sufficient. You can also wet paper towels and wrap them around the foot and encase with a plastic bag. You would not want to soak the entire skin for the same period of time as it may cause the feathers to slip. Good Luck
