primarys on geese

After i dry,and get ready to mount, the individual feathers on the primaries and secondaries tend to want to curl and seperate. Kind of like the individual feathers are stuck together. This is kind of hard to explain, hope i'm describing it right. Could this possibly be to old of mineral spirits? Thanks for any help. Scott Olson

Primaries

Check to see if you put any pins in the primaries. Pins will make them go apart. As for curling, I haven't heard of that before. Could they have got too hot?

Possibly

Tumbling to long, try to dry as much as possible before tumbling.
