Have any of you guys or gals used these. Yesterday I did 3 hooded mergs and the day before that I did 2 flying pintail drakes, and as most of you know the scapular feathers on both of these ducks are long and pretty. Before I found these pins I had a hard time getting these feathers to lay just right. All the pins I had were too short. I first saw these pins when I went to visit my buddy Dave Luke. He told me where to look for them and I ordered the combo set. Glen Browning sells them at www.birdtaxidermist.com. The combo kit includes 34 long, 33 med, and 33 short pins. If you haven't tried them, I recommend them. Just my two cents worth but they are awsome!

Worked well for me

I used them on a whitetail head mount and they worked great in all areas but the lower lip. The lip pulled and shrunk, and the pins were bent down as the lip pulled. I think that they are to light duty for the lip, but work super everywhere else on the face.
