If anyone has time, please search Ebay for items 7138563891 & 7148728727 -I have several specimens still in the freezer and am looking for any tips or advice on how to do a better job on mounting these birds, I would like to start entering competitions some day when I feel I'm good enough and since we raise these birds, I thought they would be great to enter- The auctions have already ended, so I'm NOT looking for bids..just advice on how to get better..I just did another one last weekend and used some caulking in the face in the wattles and was pleased with the outcome of that...
Thanks for any help or suggestions..

I would like to start entering competitions some day when I feel I'm good enough,
Start right there!
Join and take some mounts and you will get the best advice from real professionals that will, in you're words " give tips or advice on how to do a better job on mounting ". It is better than opinions from pictures. So be brave and join you're State Association and take more than one mount. No one will laugh or make fun of you're mounts. But they will if you put them on E-bay. Start out in the novice division if you feel that you are not good enough, this is a false opinion of you're work, you may have some small flaws but be proud of what you do, you will be surprised when you get to the competition, you may come home with a blue ribbon, but you will never know unless you enter. That's my best advice, and where you will get you're best advice.

I am not a bird man,,,,yet,,, but I think you just wanted to brag with those pictures, You should take the next one's to the competition! The judge will fine tune you're skills.

Thanks..

but I'm definetly not looking to "brag"...there are many things that I see wrong with both of the mounts but would like others opinions on what they see..I don't think I've been happy with anything that I've ever done...
As far as selling on Ebay, I see nothing wrong with it and couldn't care less who laughs about it..I paid $8.00 for that bird, maybe have $10.00 tops in supplies and it took me about 6 hours to mount it, do the math..There are people that make some serious good money selling on there, IF the quality is there..and I enjoy doing my own birds over a customers anyday..
