I use the Wildlife Color "Hazel Creek Blue" around the cheeks. When I paint the blue on the rest of the head, I like it to look grey. I mix Hazel Creek Blue about 50/50 with white with a little (few drops) of black mixed in. This gives me a nice bluish grey that I like. I would think that Pintail Grey mixed with a little bluw would also make a nice color. You might have to add a little white to lighten it up.

play around

I get a reference photo that I like and start blending colors till I get what I want. I have the Wildlife Colors Hazel Creek paints and they are good but I don't like their blue. I want my freeze-dried heads to all be unique so mixing colors is the way to go. I have found out (the hard way) that different paint manufactures' paints MAY NOT be compatible. I use Polytranspar and Wildlife WA paints and some of them won't mix and spray properly thu a 3mm nozzle.Starting out with the pintail grey would be a good place to start your blending.
