Was looking at reproduction eagles and owls on the home page. Being a beginer, was wondering how they do reproductions of such birds, would love to do one that is of the hawk that flys around our farm. Thanks for any information or leads in the right direction.

Don't kill that hawk!

If your thinking of mounting that hawk that flys above your farm I would rethink it! I'm not aware of a state that is alowed to harvest these birds.

Unless you can get a speciem though some authority figure you might have to completly recreate the bird with a lot of diffrent feathers (I've heard it can be done).

Joe T, re-read his question

Joe T, I had to re-read New to Birds question to see if I missed something. Obviously he had said something about killing the hawk. Nope, didn't see it so I tried reading between the lines and nothing there either. All I could see was a question on how to make a reproduction bird. Can you help us out on what you read that I didn't?

Thanks, Kirk
