pheasant wings, split or detach secondaries

I am going to mount a pheasant in a couple of weeks. I wanted to know what the best way is to cleaning the meat and flesh from the wings. Split them from the underside or invert them and detach secondaries. I just cant see detaching the secondaries because how am i going to be able to clean the meat out up in the primaries if i cant detach them. Can i just reach up there as far as i can go and inject the rest or what. Then clay over the bone where the secondaries lie to hold them up? Thanks

flying mount I would invert the wing but on a standing mount skin the wing out from the bottom since it will be tucked away on a standing mount. It is much easier to get a correct wing shape and placement this way. Invert the wing till you reach the first joint where the double bones are and then skin from the bottom. Wire with a light wire on standing mounts also. Good Luck.
