I have owned 3 different models of fleshing wheels. When I went out to Stefan Savides' bird workshop, I used the wheel he sells and sold my others and built one of his. It is a slower RPM unit that uses a coarse 4" wheel. It has improved my fleshing by light-years. I bought my motor/gambrel from Stefan and built my own stand and drum. I probably spent less than the $165 you mentioned. Look Stefan up at AVIAN DESIGN and ask him about the wheel.

Stefans are awsome!

the new angle flesher everybody sell's is good for the small time hobbiest or the taxidermist who does small birds, or just a couple ducks a year, But the one stefan makes is by far the best one Ive used. big enough to even do swans, easy clean up has a spot on it to mount a light, I just love mine bought it 7 years ago and not sure how I got along without it :o)
