standing pheasant reference

I am goin to mount a pheasant this weekend and i want to get a picture of a standing pheasant that is like a top view looking down on the bird. I want a photo like this cause i am not sure how to spread out the tail to bondo it and stick it in the form. Are the feathers spread out on a standing mount or pretty much stuck together. Thanks
