I have two students that are attempting a taxidermy mount of a Great -horned OWl. They have removed the flesh from the skull but did not photograph the bare muscle tissue. We need to flesh-out the muscle with clay before final mounting. Does anyone have a photo reference showing bird skull musculature? I am a licensed bird bander and have a federal slavage permit for the bird.

My student has a barred owl on the table...I can take a picture of it for you, if you want.

Buy a repro head for it and either use that or finish the scull using the repro as a reference.
Good Luck
Yes, I think a barred owl will do fine. Would it be too much trouble to get a few angled shots? We sure would appreciate your efforts!
Thanks,
