ok i am about to order a few turkey bodies, question is on how do i order them by wieght or measurements? i ask this because i had weighed all my turkeys and took the LxW measurements the 2 15lbers were identical basically to the forms im ordering from in both weight and LxW. the other 4 are 20-24lbers with a LxW of 15"x24", but these weights and measurements don't correspond with the supplier's weights and meausrements. i also noticed that say a 18lb bird the form meausrements for flying vs. strut are different. if anyone can make sense out of this any feedback would be appreciated. thankyou

Order by measurements, not weight. Order a little smaller than your measurements. Bodies that are too big, cause mounts to look less than their best.
Most turkey bodies are sold by posture and by weight. Calley Morris's turkeys are prime examples as are Anthony Eddy's. I never measure them. I order by weight and never had a problem.
order by weight, and go smaller if on the edge, i.e. a 21 pounder goes on Cally's 17-20, not the 21-25. You can't stretch 'em out like a deer cape. As stated too big doesn't allow for any feather posturing. Fitting the skin is okay if you know how to account for the skin shrinkage. Measuring is hooey cause of the amount of "bird" that is on the skin not the carcass after skinning. PS lots of caulk.
